White-label ChatGPT Ads: your brand, our platform hours
Your clients are asking about ChatGPT Ads. Self-serve buying opened in May 2026, which is not long enough for most agencies to have built real platform hours across multiple accounts — and the only way to acquire them is on somebody’s budget. We do the platform work under your brand, inside each client’s own OpenAI Ads account, reporting to you. Flat per-account fee, no markup on media, mutual non-solicit.
The short version
- Who this is for: agencies whose clients are asking about ChatGPT Ads and who do not want to fund a learning curve on live client accounts.
- How it works: we operate inside each client’s own OpenAI Ads account, under your brand, reporting to you. Your client relationship stays yours.
- The constraint nobody mentions: every advertiser account must be created from a different email address. Plan an addressing scheme before your third client, not after.
- Commercials: flat per-account fee, no percentage of spend, no markup on media, month-to-month.
What is white-label ChatGPT Ads management?
White-label ChatGPT Ads management is an arrangement where a specialist operates ChatGPT Ads campaigns on behalf of another agency’s clients, delivered under the agency’s brand. The agency keeps the client relationship, the contract and the invoice; the specialist does the platform work — account setup, context-hint strategy, creative, bidding, measurement and reporting — and delivers it in a form the agency can present as its own. Searched both ways — white label ChatGPT Ads and white-label ChatGPT ads services — it exists because ChatGPT Ads opened to self-serve buying in May 2026, which is not long enough for most agencies to have built genuine platform hours across multiple accounts, and clients are asking now.
The honest case for outsourcing this one channel
You already know how to buy media. What you do not have is repetitions on this platform, and there is no way to acquire them except on somebody’s budget. The question is whose.
| Option | What it costs you | Risk |
|---|---|---|
| Learn on a client account | Client budget, plus your credibility if the first 60 days are rough | High — the learning period is real and visible to the client |
| Learn on an internal account | Your own media budget, plus operator time | Low risk, slow, and your own funnel may not resemble your clients’ |
| Decline the work | The revenue, and eventually the account when someone else takes the whole relationship | Rising — this is how channel-led displacement usually starts |
| White-label it | A flat fee against client billings | Depends entirely on the terms — see the section below |
We are not going to pretend the fourth option is always right. If ChatGPT Ads is going to be a core competency for your agency, build it — and use our free playbook to shortcut some of it. White-label is the right answer when the channel is a client request you need to answer competently now, and building the capability is a next-year project.
How the arrangement works
- Account structure. Each of your clients gets their own OpenAI Ads Manager advertiser account, in the client’s legal entity name, with the client’s billing. Your team and ours are invited in as users. Media never routes through our account or yours.
- Operating cadence. Weekly context-hint iteration, fortnightly creative cycles, monthly structural review — the same cadence as our direct engagements.
- Reporting to you, not past you. You receive the weekly readout with your framing; we do not contact your client unless you put us on a call and ask us to.
- Escalation. Platform changes, policy issues and delivery problems come to you with a recommendation attached, not a question.
The multi-account constraint that catches every agency
Each advertiser requires its own account — there is no parent-child agency structure in Ads Manager today. More importantly, each new advertiser account must be created using a different email address; an address already used to create one cannot create another. Agencies discover this at client three and end up with a messy improvised scheme. Set up ads+client@youragency.com aliases from the start. The restriction is only on creation: once an account exists, the same operator can be invited as a member or administrator of every client account and switch between them from one login.
Terms to insist on, from us or anyone
White-label is a category with a lot of bad paper in it. Whether you work with us or somebody else, these are the terms that decide whether the arrangement is safe.
| Term | What to require | Ours |
|---|---|---|
| Ad account ownership | The client’s own account, always. If your white-label partner owns the account, they own the relationship the day you fall out. | Client’s account, client’s billing |
| Media markup | None, disclosed. You need clean numbers to build your own margin on top. | None |
| Fee model | Flat per account. Percentage-of-spend gives your partner an incentive your client does not share. | Flat per account |
| Client contact | Only when you invite it, in writing. | Never without you |
| Non-solicit | Mutual and explicit. | Mutual |
| Term | Month-to-month while the platform is this young. | Month-to-month, 14 days’ notice |
| Offboarding | Documented handover: campaign structure, hint sets, measurement config. | Included |
What we take on per account
- Account setup — creation, Persona verification, the Settings → Account info step that must be completed before ads will serve at all, billing profile and payment method, user invitations.
- Measurement first. Pixel install and debug-mode validation, Conversions API for server-side events, automatic advanced matching via Tools → Conversions → Data Source, and event-name verification before any spend — because a mismatched event reports zero silently and corrections do not backfill.
- Campaign architecture — objective selection across CPM, CPC and oCPC, daily-budget structure, country and US state/DMA/ZIP targeting, and deliberate platform targeting across iOS App, Android App and Web.
- Context hints — 5–15 per ad group on the one-group-one-intent rule, rewritten weekly against delivery data.
- Bidding — Maximize results or Manual: Max bid chosen per ad group against actual conversion density, not by default.
- Reporting — a weekly readout you can forward or rebrand, with view-through conversions reported separately from click-through rather than blended into the headline number.
When we will say no
We turn down white-label work in three situations, and it is cheaper for both of us to establish them up front: when the client’s market sits outside the countries where Ads Manager is live; when the client’s budget is small enough that our fee plus yours would dominate the media; and when the agency wants us to present the channel as more mature than it is. The platform is in beta, the controls changed materially in August 2026, and a learning period is unavoidable. We will help you say that to a client convincingly — we will not help you avoid saying it.
White-Label ChatGPT Ads FAQ
What is white-label ChatGPT Ads management?
An arrangement where a specialist runs ChatGPT Ads campaigns for another agency's clients, delivered under the agency's brand. The agency keeps the client relationship, contract and invoice; the specialist does the platform work and reports into the agency. It exists because self-serve ChatGPT Ads only opened in May 2026, so few agencies have multi-account platform hours yet, while clients are already asking.
Can I resell ChatGPT Ads management to my clients?
Yes. The practical requirements are that each client has their own OpenAI Ads Manager advertiser account in their own legal entity name with their own billing, that your white-label partner does not route media through their account, and that your agreement covers client contact, non-solicit and offboarding. Media markup should be zero so you can build your own margin on clean numbers rather than on a marked-up base.
How do agencies manage multiple ChatGPT Ads accounts?
One advertiser account per client — there is no parent-child agency structure in Ads Manager today. The constraint that catches most agencies is that each new advertiser account must be created using a different email address; an address already used cannot create another. Use an alias scheme such as ads+client@youragency.com from the first account. Once accounts exist, the same operator can be invited to all of them and switch between accounts from a single login.
Who owns the ad account in a white-label arrangement?
Your client should, always. If a white-label partner owns the advertiser account, they hold the conversion history, the campaign learnings and the audience data — and they hold the client relationship the day the partnership ends. Insist on the client's own account and the client's own billing regardless of who you work with. That is how we run every engagement.
Will you contact my clients directly?
No, not unless you invite us onto a call and ask us to. Reporting goes to you, framed so you can forward or rebrand it. Our agreement includes a mutual non-solicit. If you want us present as a named specialist rather than white-labelled, that also works — it is your call, made in writing at the start.
Should my agency build ChatGPT Ads capability instead of outsourcing it?
If it is going to be a core competency, build it — and use our free playbook and guide library to shortcut part of the learning. White-label makes sense when the channel is a live client request you need to answer competently now and building the capability is a next-year project. The option we would argue against is declining the work, because channel-led displacement is how agencies lose whole accounts rather than single line items.
